— The Curve of Trust, Not Virality

One day, suddenly,

I find myself looking at the numbers again.

The views are still not high.

There aren't many comments.

There's hardly any sharing.

But it's strange.

There are people who keep reading the posts.

At first,

I thought it was a mistake.

No Response, Yet People Remain

The subtle changes

are not easily noticeable.

  • When a new post is made,

there are people who read it to the end

  • A few days later,

traces of rereading the previous posts can be seen

  • Quietly,

    emails or messages come in

"I keep reading your posts."

"I've sorted out troubles that are hard to explain in words."

This is not an explosion.

It's accumulation.

The Curves of Virality and Trust Differ

Virality is

steep.

It rises quickly

and disappears quickly.

Trust is

gradual.

It rises slowly

and doesn't easily decline.

The problem is

that most platforms

only show the curve of virality.

So,

those on the curve of trust

always doubt.

"Am I going the wrong way?"

Slow Content is Chosen Content

People

subconsciously distinguish

between content to consume quickly

and content to keep close for a long time.

Fast content

is needed right now.

Slow content

is revisited later.

Your posts

belong to the latter.

So they are saved,

bookmarked,

and reopened later.

This is not a reaction.

It's a relationship.

Trust Creates Recommendations

The trust that slowly accumulates

suddenly

manifests in a different form.

  • "Please read this post."

  • "This person's posts have been helpful."

  • "This person doesn't exaggerate."

These recommendations

come from people,

not algorithms.

And human recommendations

last much longer.

The Moment of Sudden Visibility Comes

One day,

without any special reason,

there is an increase in traffic.

It's not about a specific post,

but all posts are being read together.

This is not a coincidence.

It's the result of accumulation.

Once trust is built to a certain extent,

people start to see

not just 'a post'

but 'a person.'

Slow Speed is Not a Weakness

Your pace

is not slow,

it's a different rhythm.

It may seem like you're walking alone

on a track where everyone else is running.

However,

those who continue in the same direction for a long time

eventually stand out.

In Conclusion

Even if it seems like there's no response right now,

your posts

are still out there.

Quietly being read,

slowly accumulating,

gradually building trust.

And at some point,

people will say,

"I trust and follow this person's posts."

In the next post,

I will discuss

what is essential to maintain this trust,

which is a structure that doesn't require exaggeration.
